Has dealing with your depression been very difficult?
Do you feel really happy sometimes and really sad at other times?
Is it hard to focus on anything but the sadness?
Have anxiety and panic attacks been controlling your life?
Are you tired of medicines and their side affects?
At Optimum Health we do not diagnose or treat disease. Instead we try to get to the root of the problem. In turn, we eliminate a whole host of problems all at once. We have found a B complex deficiency to be at the root of the problem for all of our clients who are bipolar or suffer with depression. How so?
In most of the cases of our new clients with depression and bipolar, we notice that their B vitamins are severely deficient. Each one tends to feel much happier and less focused on their problems when we increase their B vitamins. The body needs B vitamins such as Folic Acid, B-6 and B-12 to manufacture neurotransmitters that will be used to make you happy on most days! And this makes sense as the B vitamins are nicknamed the "happy vitamin".
When a person with bipolar or depression is said to have a "chemical imbalance", the first thing to do is to bring their B vitamin levels into balance.
In our efforts to get to address the root of the problem, we began to ask why some people need very high amounts of B vitamins on a daily basis. This is when the bells and whistles began to go off! We have found several things that will drastically increase a persons need for B vitamins such as:
If we don't meet our needs for these B vitamins, we can become sad, depressed, irritable and even suicidal. If we meet our needs irregularly, we can be extremely happy when we meet these needs and extremely sad when we do not. This can cause us to appear as though we are bipolar.
Other issues that the body can eliminate when it is given the proper amount of B vitamins is anemia, premature gray hair, and balding. Your body can even shrink an enlarged tongue when it has enough B vitamins.
Brewer's yeast is the richest natural source of all the B vitamins. Bee pollen, liver and whole grains are also excellent sources. The bacteria that lives in your intestines provide some of the B vitamins, therefore, it is important to make sure that you have a healthy colony. Other rich sources are: wheat flakes, wheat germ, whole wheat, brown rice, most cheese and dairy products, beef, lamb, port and veal.
Of course, B vitamins do not do all the work by themselves. They are also called the "helper" vitamins because they work with many other nutrients to "help" them do their job. For this reason, a full assessment is needed to make sure that all deficiencies are corrected so the B vitamins can give a person the maximum benefit.
Unfortunately, in today's world we often find that there is very little that we can do to eliminate stress in a person's life. However, there is much that can be done to decrease the toxicity and eliminate parasites. In doing this we can possibly:
