Kelp is one of the highest sources of minerals and vitamins and is especially high in natural Iodine.  Studies have shown that Americans have significantly less iodine than the Japanese who are much thinner and do not have as high a prevalence of cancer.  Could this be due to their diet of sea plants and sea animals that are rich in iodine?
